Stefanie is designing things for the digital age since 2007. She lives and works in Berlin since 2014. In 2007, she successfully completed her studies „Interactive Media Design“ at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and the Cork Institute of Technology. She is currently studying psychology on a part-time basis at the University of Hagen and combines this know-how with her profession.
She likes to deal with topics of cognitive & social psychology, qualitative user research, the impact of the digital age on society and growing up in a „digital“ fast forward world and its impact on social skills. Stefanie is an advocate of the „computer are social actors“ paradigm, according to which people apply social heuristics – mostly unconsciously – to computers.
In 2011 she co-founded her own design studio design studio „The Geekettez“ with her business partner Jennifer.
Since then, they have been designing digital products for their international customer base consisting of companies as well as organizations in the field of art & politics, and various agencies.
Stefanie also co founded the Berlin chapter of the Ladies that UX community and since then organizes meetups on a regular basis for women who are working or are interested in UX.
