I’m a freelance user interface designer based in Berlin and I’m working in this field since 2008. I love making UIs that are easy and fun to use.
My services include
- User Interface/Experience Design
- Information Architecture
- UX Consulting and Research
- and sometimes Graphic Design
Before I decided to go freelance I worked as an Art Director and UX Designer at Ueberbit GmbH (former [di] digitale informationssysteme) in Mannheim. In addition to consulting, sketching and giving the websites a polished look I did much frontend stuff, like HTML Templating, CSS and some basic jQuery stuff.
In 2011 I teamed up with Jennifer Moss and we founded The Geekettez a studio for interface and interaction design. We work together as a design team on designing web based services that are easy and pleasurable to use.
Basically my design philosophy is like seeing computers as a human-technology conversation tool – and I think that technology should ‘speak’ with humans in a human ‘language’, not vice versa.
Technology should serve humans in a friendly, human way, like you’d wish a good and polite assistant would help you.
Besides studio work, i’m studying psychology (taking a part time course) at the distance university to dive deeper in HCI and Usability
